IDTF: CEH Editor Interviewed about Interoception

Interoception is a complex
“system of systems” in the
body that defies evolution

On January 8, CEH reposted an article written by editor David Coppedge for Science & Culture Today about interoception. In early February, Discovery Institute staffer Andrew McDiarmid interviewed Coppedge about this trending concept in science.

Yesterday, the recorded interview was posted on ID the Future. Readers wishing to learn more about this somewhat unfamiliar but very significant idea can listen to the audio to learn more about it.

In the interview, David and Andrew address questions like:

  • Why is interoception, an old concept, gaining new interest among scientists?
  • How does interoception differ from proprioception?
  • What is the relationship between interoception and homeostasis?
  • What new signal pathways are being discovered?
  • What amazing cell proteins are involved?
  • How is interoception a virtual “electric” sense?
  • What does research on interoception offer us in medical insights?
  • How could Darwinism explain interoception?
  • Why is intelligent design the superior explanation?

The interview is about 30 minutes long and can be heard here.
