David Coppedge, B.S. Education, B.S. Physics, founded Creation-Evolution Headlines in late 2000 as a way to share science news he was encountering at NASA. It has grown into a highly-trusted source of news and commentary critical of the pro-Darwin consensus, providing analysis of breaking news of interest to creationists and evolutionists, without the Darwin spin. He has authored over 7,000 entries at CEH since its inception.

David worked as a system administrator at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory for 14 years as a member of the Cassini team. For 9 of those years at JPL, he was Team Lead System Administrator, responsible for most of the ground system computers for the historic mission to Saturn. In this role he got to know many of the world's leading planetary scientists. In addition, he led JPL tours and was a Cassini outreach speaker to civic groups and astronomy clubs.

David is a board member and science consultant for Illustra Media and an Associate with Logos Research Associates. His sharing of Illustra DVDs led to his firing from JPL in 2012. This led to a court trial, assisted by the Discovery Institute and Alliance Defending Freedom. It ended with a lone judge ruling against him without explanation.

Coppedge now devotes more time to Creation-Evolution Headlines and other creation ministries. He also writes for the Discovery Institute, a leading think tank for intelligent design, where he has written over 1,700 articles.

Underwater Forest Discovered: How Old?

Sixty feet down in Gulf waters off the coast of Alabama, stumps of an old cypress forest have appeared.  How can they be 52,000 years old when the wood still smells like cypress? The discovery was reported by Live Science.  It includes a five-minute video tour of the area which the discoverers are keeping secret […]

Evolutionists Two-Faced About Academic Freedom

Compare two countries: in one, when their hegemony is threatened, evolutionists plead for academic freedom. In another, they deny it to those who want a chance to debate evolution.

New Biomimetics Projects

These recently-reported attempts to mimic nature show that the biomimetics revolution continues, with no end in sight.

Farming Came Too Late in the Evolutionary Timetable

Even with generous dates of 10,000 years for the origin of farming, what were modern humans doing for tens of thousands of years or more?

Are Starfish Eyes Missing Links?

Starfish are found to have "primitive" image-forming eyes on the tips of their arms. Do these represent links between simple and complex eyes? Some reporters seem to think so.

Bizarre Creatures With Incredible Design

Animals, whether living or fossil, often show surprising tricks of sensation, adaptation, or ornamentation.

More Wonders Going On Inside You

Since we all live in a body, we should all feel intrigued with what goes in under our skin. There are more wonders than science can ever fully know.

Astrobiology: The Science of Could

Anything "could" happen. Shouldn't science deal with what does happen and what did happen? The "could" word is rampant in astrobiology literature and origin-of-life studies.

Mad Scientists Poised on the Slippery Slope

Stem cells can do good or harm, depending on their source. When scientists think themselves above ethics, watch out.

Homo erectus were good pitchers

Science news sites are talking about the evolution of human throwing, but it's mostly speculation based on prior faith in Darwinism. The real story is good design in the human shoulder.

Big Flood on Mars; Why Not on Earth?

More evidence has been presented for a "voluminous" flood on Mars, where there is no water today. So why is a comparable flood disfavored for Earth, where water covers 70% of the surface?

Are These Horse Genes Really 700,000 Years Old?

News sites are celebrating a "spectacular" new record for fossil DNA, claiming horse genes found in permafrost are 700,000 years old, placing the common ancestor two million years earlier than thought.

Science News Sites Promote Leftist Ideology

Celebrating gay marriage is not the only leftist position frequently advocated by secular science news sites. They follow party-line liberal views with few exceptions, and now openly advocate leftist ideas.

The Problem With Evolutionary Explanations

A new theory attempts to explain why mammals vary from teaspoon size to battleship size. But what does it really explain, if anything?

Brain Cells Have a Twist-Open Gate

The structure of an important potassium-ion gate in the membrane of brain cells has been found to open like a camera iris.
