David Coppedge, B.S. Education, B.S. Physics, founded Creation-Evolution Headlines in late 2000 as a way to share science news he was encountering at NASA. It has grown into a highly-trusted source of news and commentary critical of the pro-Darwin consensus, providing analysis of breaking news of interest to creationists and evolutionists, without the Darwin spin. He has authored over 7,000 entries at CEH since its inception.

David worked as a system administrator at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory for 14 years as a member of the Cassini team. For 9 of those years at JPL, he was Team Lead System Administrator, responsible for most of the ground system computers for the historic mission to Saturn. In this role he got to know many of the world's leading planetary scientists. In addition, he led JPL tours and was a Cassini outreach speaker to civic groups and astronomy clubs.

David is a board member and science consultant for Illustra Media and an Associate with Logos Research Associates. His sharing of Illustra DVDs led to his firing from JPL in 2012. This led to a court trial, assisted by the Discovery Institute and Alliance Defending Freedom. It ended with a lone judge ruling against him without explanation.

Coppedge now devotes more time to Creation-Evolution Headlines and other creation ministries. He also writes for the Discovery Institute, a leading think tank for intelligent design, where he has written over 1,700 articles.

Planet Habitable Zone Cannot Be Too Windy

The "habitable zone" of a planet usually concerns its distance from the star such that it can support liquid water. But what if the star fries the surface with intense stellar winds?

Biblical Archaeology Still Has Much to Discover

Some exciting discoveries in Jerusalem and other near eastern sites emphasize the fact that archaeologists have much more to explore in the lands of the Bible.

DNA in Amber Doesn't Last Long

Claims of ancient DNA hundreds of thousands of years old may be false. No DNA was found in an insect encased in amber said to be 10,600 years old.

Understanding Jumping by Leaps and Bounds: Geared Insect and Leaping Plant

Two clever examples of leaping have been found in the living world, adding to the catalog of clever ways life gets around.

Darwinist Intolerance Is Intensifying

Some recent cases of intolerance against Darwin skeptics are so extreme, they defy all logic or propriety. Yet when Darwinists promote radical ideas, they get a pass.

Cosmos Does Not Look Evolutionary

Evidence continues to mount that the universe and its contents appeared mature from the beginning.

Junk Science Gets Good Press if It Supports Darwinism

The headlines for some scientific news stories might leave philosophers of science wagging their heads. Few, though, are the reporters willing to call something really dumb, or at least questionable—especially if it appears to support evolution.

"Evidence-Based" Findings May Not Be

Patients are encouraged to seek only "evidence-based" treatments for disease, but a look behind the scenes of clinical trials reveals some of the same human foibles that plague any science: shortcomings in honesty and transparency.

Evolutionists View Poison as Elixir of Life

Hydrogen cyanide is one of the most reactive and toxic molecules we know, but astrobiologists view it with almost alchemical qualities for the origin of life.

More Reasons to Love Plants

For food, for visual pleasure, and for the health of the whole planet, plants are worth loving and learning about.

Tiger in Oil and Other Surprising Fossils

Deposits in North and South America reveal a rich diversity of mammals discovered by oil workers, some fossils in the oil.

Bach to the Feature: Music More Cognitive Than Language

The ability for the human mind to gauge hierarchical structures in music over the span of lengthy works suggests that we exercise greater cognition in that skill than in language.

Mars Panspermia a Sign of Desperation

A second article proposes life began on Mars, prompting some observers to point out the failures of naturalistic origin-of-life theories.

Genetic Convergent Evolution Strains Credibility

"Convergent evolution" is the term given to similar designs that shouldn't be related. Recent widespread examples threaten to make the term lose any coherence it might have had

Solomon Corroborated: It's His Copper Mine

Copper mines in the Aravah of Israel were most likely Solomon's property, not the Egyptians', new date estimates show, supporting the Biblical chronology.
